SSDC at Channel V India Fest 2011
SSDC was formed between the street dance teams of various colleges from Mumbai, and Ruel (Phillipine Allstars). SSDC has specialists from every element of hip hop, such as Breaking (Bboying), Popping, Krump, Housing, Locking, etc. As of now SSDC are mainly a college-level phenomenon going national, the next step is to go International .
SSDC biggest win has been at Channel V's IndiaFest '11, india's biggest and toughest college festival, where we won both dance events in first place - street dance and solo impromptu. Apart from that, they have won almost all the major college festival based competitions across India. From Malhar, Kshitij, or Kaleidoscope in Mumbai, to Waves(BITS Pilani) in Goa, to Umang(Bhawanipur) in Kolkata. SSDC regularly takes part in, or judges, competitions at the college level, because the crew's roots lie within these festivals.
